I saw it earlier mate. I also think I saw it somewhere a few weeks ago also. It's a decent trip down memory lane.
Not the fondest of memories those days mate, as Spurs were well in front of us at the time.

I must admit mate that when I get the Season Ticket every year now, I do think back to the dark days of losing 6-0 at Rotherham in the 2nd tier when Fillery (Our marquee player then ) missed a penalty.
One thing that was awesome in those days were the numbers that we took away from home. Only probably Spurs and United took more at the time.

Css1969,both our away following has always been good,it makes me laugh when I see some fans on here having a pop at spurs being a small club.i went to Spain the other weekend on a jolly and got talking to a city fan in a bar before the cup final.he was one of them that had been following city thru the bad times,he said spurs and Chelsea always showed up at Maine road and he remembers that game you had up there when you played them on a Friday night.

Hounslow
everywhere I go abroad I meet Tottenham fans
Not many clubs would still have our fan base after being rubbish for 20 yrs
travelled in massive numbers in the 80s , used to love the inter city to away games

Weare,I once went to Maine road on the Saturday and we got beat 5-2 and then notts county away on the Wednesday and they knocked us out the cup we beat west ham on following Saturday but we still sacked ossie ardiles after the game.
I've seen some poor spurs sides in my time but never regretted being a spurs fan.
Mind you when we were poor at least we never had to suffer any of these last day traumas

I was there that Friday night, no word of a lie we had about 7,000 up there and completely took over the whole manor. Mickey Francis refers to it in his book Young Guvnors and he admits that the firm we had up there that night was probably the best one he had ever seen. It certainly was one hell of a turnout.
Just for the record mate I have never claimed that Spurs are a small Club (nor would I) but it does also make me laugh when people describe us as a "Small Club that won the lottery" when I think back to personally witnessing 6,000 at Newcastle (The entire Leazes End) and 8,500 at Leeds (almost the Entire side), both in the 2nd Division. You went to places like Cambridge with Chelsea so you saw for yourself what it was like.

That game I saw you lot at Cambridge was mad,I only went because my mate on the estate I grew up had just passed his test and begged me to go with him.i had a mate who was a palace fan and a few of us went to see them play Liverpool in a midweek game,George graham was playing for palace then.selhurst park was packed and I didn't realise how big that Holmsdale end was.
I've also read the city book and a few others, the tony rivers soul crew book was one of the better ones
