Interesting read on the current situation of the Steel City Clubs.
A great piece that highlights the BDM. Will we repeat the 4-0 scoreline this term?
'Hats off' to Roy Hattersley who admired the man who never ate bacon as it reminded him of the blunts. Roy, a great dribbler in his time.
The article also highlights the contrast between two different management styles; that of his gingerness and that of Wilson the turncoat. Megson is purportedly 'too old school' for many of us Wednesdayites, however we actually need a bit of grit to get us out of this topsy-turvy league IMO, so I am at least for now in favour of his methods. Wilson by contrast is touted as a backer of free-flowing expressive football; to be honest I can't see how free-flowing football can possibly be associated with the blunts given their recent attempts at 'hoofball' for the past decade. Wilson will be faced with a task equivalent to turning around the Titanic before hitting the iceberg.
More worrringly for the blunts is the reference to financial turmoil and the over-zealousness of McCabe in the international development market (Chengdu Blades, some flemish team and a few other unknown international outfits with development links etc.) - spread a bit too thin perhaps? Personally, I think they're in for a very stormy time over the next five or so years, especially if they are not going to get out of League 1. Admin looming?
We on the other hand have Milan to apparently (if the Guardian Journo is to be believed) bankroll a few signings. That said where is ourt new 20 goal a season centre forward?
Anyhow, try and have a read its not a long piece but an interesting one that shows the contrast between us and them there pigs.

There is also a nice 'sensible' quote from the infamous Imre Varadi in the last paragraph.

That 20 goal a season player will hopefully be coming today.
Nicky Weaver came on this day last year and he settled down quickly enough.

'The past decade', to be fair I remember this hoofball style in the Dave Bassett days in the 90s it probably at least 2 decades!

Didwell has always been a deluded fellow hasnt he bless him. A couple of his classics
"De Bilde and Sibon will storm this league once they gell together, just you see" (Thats what he said to my mate who chatted to him in a local Chezzie boozer in Dec time, whilst rooted rock bottom)
"We are a sleeping Giant" (Upon taking over at Bristol City)
"“I’ve always been a believer you can play good attacking football and do well.”
What makes him think that the porky's are goin to adapt to it, like Briggowl said its been the norm there for 20 years, stroll on man
