A great number will disagree but what's new. I don't think we will miss Luis Suarez half as much as you think we will. Yeah he is a great player and arguably one of the best in the premier league but like it or not every player in the world has a price or value to a club, bar one and we cannot stand in the way of a transfer in this situation.
Couple this with the fact that he misses six games of next season, we need a good start and a bigger and better squad.
Every pound of the sale needs to go to the manager and his recruitment team to build on the areas we need to strengthen.
As you may be aware, Luis Suarez DOES NOT score every chance he gets, he does not pass every time he should and he has given us a bad name for two seasons or more.
I love having Suarez in our attack but the Chelsea game at Anfield was more than enough for some fans to take.
We signed Torres for £20, Suarez for around £22. Yes we are losing a great player but for double what we paid, along with the baggage he comes with and hopefully we can sign a few players to move us forward.
Personally I would like to see a Torres type come in now. Straighforward CF who gets in front of goal and hits the net.
Aspas could join Borini, Sturridge and one other to make up a fluid attack but a CF is what I would ideally like.
Thoughts please. Let's see what everyone thinks.
We stood by him all the way and altough I agree the media have been overly critical of him, he owes the club a bit more than this.
Guess what. It's about Suarez.

His answers to the press should be, "I have a contract at Liverpool."
He is under contract to play for us. If he wants to leave fair enough but I'm sick of seeing his name in the headlines every day.

Just feel he owes the fans such an unbelievable amount after his actions this season which were disgusting with the bite. Yes the ban was ridiculous, yes the press are rabid hyenas but he has brought a lot of it on himself and his moments of idiocy have cost the fans more than anything.
I think he owes us - and talking about moves to the press every day and giving us mixed signals is disrespectful.

If he answers that way, the media will still say "Suarez refuses to rule out move" or "Suarez non-commital on Liverpool future".
He's just being honest, really, and IMO it actually looks less like he's playing games this way.

I don't think he owes us anything at all - we didn't stick by him out of the goodness of our hearts, we stuck by him because he's comfortably a cut above our level. If Jonjo Shelvey was getting into the trouble Suarez has gotten into, he'd have been sold and forgotten about by now.

Plus if he pushes it too much he'll look like an idiot if no transfer happens and we'll look stupid if everyone slags him off now and chants his name if he stays next season.
