ffs what did you expect him to say - 'I hated it here, I've applied for political asylum in Manchester - I like both its restauants' He's just being nice about his Athletico - its not a transfer request.

He's here to stay

I don't buy when players talk about history and club blar blar. Players are as reliable as politicians. As long as he is playing well that is all that matters. He won't be here forever but I am sure we will get a good fee for him when he leaves in a few years.

Can't see anything bad about this. I'd be more concerned if he were talking about Spain in general. Could read it as a 'come and get me' to Real or Barca.

Anyway I think we sometimes read too much into what players say without knowing the full context. As said above he's hardly going to say anything bad about Atletico if he has no ill feeling towards them.
