Glad to hear you re enjoying not606.

From what I could tell last season, many posters enjoyed playing your league. In fact it was probably the best competition on 606 by some margin. It was so good because the points system which you devised worked efectively, because it had a high participation rate (of mostly amiable posters), and because you administered it diligently and fairly.

I am sure that for the reasons given above, many posters on here would be delighted if you ran the league on this board this season. It would beimportant to the posters who use this site that the league was operated on this board, because the posters who use it prefer this board. They prefer this board because, in ther opinion, it is the best board. From what I have seen they would be right.

I think I can speak for other posters then when I say to you that we would be very grateful if you ran the competition on this site, whether or not you also ran it elsewehre. This is mainly because we know what a good job you do of it.

However. If you do not do the league on this site, there is always the possibility that someone else on here might run the same competition, with the same points scoring system and the same rules. If they did, I know I would particpate. I also know that if there is not such a league on this site this year, then I wont be taking part in the league at all. I suspect that this will be the case for many JA606 users. I also strongly suspect that even if the league were only run on not606 with netiehr yourself or someone else running an equivelant on this board, that you would not convince many users (or any users) to use the not606 board, certainly not instead of JA606, and certainly not for any threads other than your own league.

I very much hope therefore, on bahelf of the ja606 users, that you decide to come and run the league on this board. Failing that however, I hope that whoever takes up the reigns on here in your absence, does the job of running the duplicate league, as diligently and as fairly as you have done it for the past seasons on 606.

actually, that post was probably a bit out of order because firstly i dont speak for other ja606 users, and secondly i probably shouldnt have suggested that we dont need Spurf. thirdly the speling was carp, but mine always is.

probably what i should have said was - spurf, hope you dont mind if we use your formula to do a league, if you decide not to put yours on here. .

White Ledley King thanks for your kind words. I will not be using ja as I much prefer the format of not606 despite some of the posters but then you have idiots on all forums.

I hope that some of my old friends who are on this forum will join my league on not606 it is a shame that the old 606 crowd is to be split asunder, however anyone is free to copy my format for a league and this is what you may choose to do.

But as I said, it would be nice if we were all reunited on one board even if only for the league, failing that I will keep in touch via the Spurs facebook page.
