Congrats on your new signing

Is it wrong that I am starting to get a little excited about this potential signing.
I get what Red Russian is saying about the fact that teams beat individuals but I think this United side does need a player to instil that fear factor into our opponents. I think that Ronaldo would help the midfield by allowing them to move higher up the pitch thus taking the pressure off.
Still unlikely that this transfer will happen but you never know. Perhaps United should table a bid and see what happens. Give Ronaldo a decision to make. What better boost for his ego than helping United stay successful following SAF's departure.

Teams beat individuals - what happened to Barca (the so called best team ever) when Messi was injured. They got battered.

My take is that without Messi that 'fear factor' wasn't quite there and Bayern fancied their chances.
Really, Ronaldo and Messi have raised the bar in what we expect from players recently and their goalscoring is ridiculous. There is a real fear, IMO, when you come up against them.
I'd love Ronaldo to come back. It would be a real statement of support for Moyes.

Wasn't it written into his Madrid contract that we had first option on him?
