Was delighted to see us linked with him, but Lennons comments worried me a bit.
Lennon and the scouting staff have done an unbelievable job finding cheap talent but rule out a free signing like Dunne because of his age is madness.
I'd he saying we will never sign experienced players again? If big Dunne got himself fit he'd stroll it for us for a year or two. He's exactly what we need, a big commanding centre half. He's played premiership football for years and plenty of international experience so it seems a no brainer to me. We definetely need cover in CB.
Hope Lennon signs him!

It has nothing to do with being Irish, if he was from Mozambique I'd be saying the same. If he can prove his fitness he'd be a quality signing for us.
Lennons track record of centre backs isn't that great! If Dunne is fit he's proven quality!

It depends with Dunne. He didn't play all season due to injury, he had reoccurrence after reoccurrence...IF he were to get back into shape, avoid injury...I personally would love him to stay at Villa. We could do with his experience. That being said I reckon he'd be able to do a job for you guys too. Experience matters.

SPL isn't going to be much of a challange. If Dunne can get fit, he'd be your best CB. Saying that, he is old and when it comes to the CL he may struggle with the pace of things. Though if you guys are going to sit deep and counter, that shouldn't be much of a problem.
