So my exams are nearly over, I'm planning on catching up on some much deserved gaming afterwards.
Anyone recommend any good games?
I'm into games that have really good storylines, like the two Batmans and the Uncharted series, but one thing I've noticed on these new gen consoles is the stories/adventures really aren't up to scratch.
I'm looking for older games that were kinda swept under the radar but actually really good, if you know what I mean. The hipsters of the gaming world could help me out here
Not a fan of FPS games, or futuristic games like Mass Effect etc.
Any recommendations?

AC's been plummeting since AC2. Brotherhood was fun at the start but tailed off massively by the end
AC3 the gameplay was excellent (loved the naval battles) but the storyline was so uninteresting

Yeah AC3 was still pretty great as a game, but the main problem was that Connor was just so dull compared to Ezio Auditore.
Ezio really made his series of games a class above what the gameplay warranted I'd say.

Metal Gear Solid HD collection is £18.28 on Amazon, gets you MGS 2, 3 and Peacewalker. I think that's my next purchase.
Red Dead Redemption and Hitman Absolution are two of the best games I've played recently. Check out the Ico/Shadow of the Collossus (sp) HD collection for two really great games from the PS2 era.

I tried playing Peacewalker but it seemed pretty crap

My main gripe with AC3 is that the first 5 sequences were basically irrelevant other than a long winded way of introducing the main villain of the story, the next 3 sequences were basically a hand holding tutorial and then by time you've got to the last 4 sequences where you can tell it's an assassin game again the game is basically already over.

Conkers was an awesome game. I have it and a few other N64 classics running on my PSP.

Yeah thought he never had anything interesting to say, had no charisma, and just got angry all the time.
The protagonist in AC4 is supposedly a Welshman, a bit of an alcoholic, and another 'ladies man', should be more interesting than Connor "I fight for my people zzzzzz" Kenway.
