I actually prefer him playing a free role. I believe he did so v Norwich last season? He's just much better doing what he wishes. But, still I hope this Tonev lad has pace, if he does then we needn't worry much about having pace out wide.

Woah! Can someone pinch me please. There must be at least 8-10 weeks left of this transfer window. Can't believe we have signed a new player already.

And, there was me thinking we'd hardly make any signings this summer going by Lambert's comments towards the end of the season!

I reckon Lambert is a good poker player.

Tonev - Weimann - Gabby
-----------Benteke-----------
if Weimann/Benteke stay?

I am quite excited by this signing, could be another gem like Benteke. Fingers crossed.
Watching his goals, I noticed that he can hit the ball from distance really well and with BOTH FEET. I can see him slotting in behind the front two in an advanced role.
For me, it really needs to be Weimann and Benteke upfront supported out wide by Gabby and Charles.
Lets not expect miracles from Tonev, but potentially, this could be a fantasitc signing.
Now, for a competent left back.....

Lambert doesn't mess about and wait till the last minute the way No'Deal use too. He's also aware that there are countries outside of Britain that have footballers!
Hopefully another foreign gem for us and he can use both feet. For me N'Zogbia is now just a luxury bench warmer, way too inconcistent and seemingly lazy. I'd give him another season to prove he's actually worth keeping. Otherwise beat it.
Ireland has to be booted out this summer though. What a waste of space.

i hope you guys realize , this guy has Gabby's speed and Berbatov's technique. An amazing talent.

Well, I believe we brought him for £2.5mil which is a very good price. Of course we as fans are going to expect, but after what happened with Benteke we shouldn't put our expectations that high.
For me anything good he does will be a bonus, considering the price we got him for and the fact that he seems like an unknown quantity to most. Lets just hope he doesn't completely mess up. Am sure that won't happen, but the guy will need time and we need to be patient with all the signings that are made.
