So, now that we’ve signed Matt Smith, which member of the Leeds squad or backroom staff is best equipped to move in the other direction and become the next reincarnation of the famous time lord?
Sam Byram is the player most frequently tipped to leave during the transfer window, but I’m going to suggest it should be Ken Bates. Older than William Hartnell, more annoying than David Tennant and about as successful as Colin Baker.
Who do you think we should stick in the Tardis, and why?
Ken Bates to be the new Dr Who?

Just realised - it should be Don Revie - then he can manage us for ever . . .

Varney. Never quite managed the reincarnation as a player and having witnessed far too many of his performances its fair to say he's definitely from another planet.

I think I'll stick with John Hurt as the new Dr Who.
Fine actor, I think he'll take Dr Who to a new level.
I loved all the Dr Who's, they seem to fit the part.

Hurt won't be new doctor, he's just for anniversary

To the best of my knowledge John Hurt didn't actually play for Leeds United (although there were some bits of the Sixties that I probably missed). Ian Harte might be a close match though - only one heart (see what I did there) but two feet, and one of them the best placer of a ball I've ever seen for our team. (I'm not suggesting we sign him again now BTW)
