With the fixtures for the new season about to come out would people prefer to get the difficult games out of the way first or would they rather have the weaker teams (eg Peterborough ) at the start of the season and hope to be a runaway leader by Christmas?

Don't know about the start of the season - I would have preferred a tougher start - but the run in at the end will be tough - in the last 7 games - Coventry, Brentford, Wolves, and Crawley - non of whom are going to be any pushover - so far no signings I fear a very tough season for us

PTHU, and you, hopefully we can go up together this time.

Moocamp, yeah it seems Robbie likes to leave it late and see who'se left rather than jump in.
I didn't think Lewie had a good enough season to be able to string the club along waiting for offers, not sure who would come in for him on last season form.

"hopefully we can go up together this time".
That would be nice

Hi Bill - I see Robbo was already blaming lack of funds and the new financial rules....I take it that does not apply to our competitors that have done deals then???
I agree regarding Lewie - I would rather see Chicko given the left back role this season, as he is who we need for the longer term.
Thorney - it would indeed be nice, but I seriously do not see us challenging for the top 6 places with the same squad. We really need a striker. Looking forward to our matches though... good luck

Robbo complaining is just a smokescreen, yes, he couldn't afford to entice a proven striker from the Championship but that doesn't stop him looking for a rough diamond in the Conference or someone with something to prove in L2.
If he got them now he would have a couple of months to get them up to speed

Could not agree more - looking down the leagues is what we have to do - Is Robbo and his (well what is) backroom staff up to it?

Yep - we need a striker... this makes me wonder as I'm not up with things ... is Bamford still in the frame? Is Lowe still likely to move on? Is Izale still around at all? Is Ian Wright still coaching them?
Also - on another subject - anyone been to the stadium lately? Someone said the screens are up... but what about the upper seats? If so how will they decide when to use them for Dons matches, I wonder? We could end up with 'big' teams filling the away end, top and bottom, and us still rattling around below in home end , with a few non-season ticket holders above.... is that right? and if so, what will that do the spread of non-season ticket holders in the rest of the ground? we could look very 'thin' indeed.
questions, questions... Any thoughts?

Weightwatchers and Slimming World make a fortune out of making people looking thin, perhaps Pete could launch the MK Dons Diet - come to the ground look thin - and then use the money to buy a decent striker.
I think Pete should give the Season ticket holders a 1/2 price ticket offer for a friend for certain matches to fill the ground
