End.
As the heading says - I think they were unveiled as our sponsors on June 11th last year but it may have taken a few days to get everything fully in place. Whatever happened the deal must be about to expire.
We have heard all sorts of rumours about new deals including another year from John Pye. You would have assumed that if their deal had been extended there would have been some announcement as there would be very little to do to get it in plsce , on the new strip etc.
As an aside Abdulaziz tweeted a few hours ago that he was in London, maybe Fawaz is with him. Whatever he is here full I expect there will be some kind of announcement soon.
When does John Pye deal

Weird how we have not heard from Abdulaziz since the media day after the takeover when he pretty much did all the talking.
I know Fawaz pretty much owns the club as he is the majority shareholder by quite a bit but now he does everything and you do not hear from Abdulaziz. It isn't a criticism before sheep jump onto this, just a observation to see the difference.
At least Fawaz listens to the fans a lot as well

Also the main rumour going round is that it will be Mesilla Properties as I think that is a company owned by Omar and is a High class London Residential Property company, also they have put a lot of these advertised boards up around the City Ground as well

SBD, are those boards actually up at the ground or is it not just a photoshop? I thought the pic I saw was made just to make those fake Adidas kits seem more realistic. Didn't know they were Omar's company though.

Under ffp a company run by the owners cannot sponsor a club, however (as with Man City) a company owned by a relative, Omar, who has no stake in the club is OK. Maybe this is why he stepped down as chairman.

This would make perfect sense. I would imagine that Fawaz is very eager to bring some big names into the city ground this summer, but with the financial restrictions in place is currently unable to do so. Silly season will definitely start when any new 'sponsorship' deal has been struck - something akin to the infamous Roberto Baggio days of the mid Nineties for example!

Quite like having a local sponsor but I guess money will talk.
