Sorry to bring a downer to everyone's somewhat premature celebrations over the prospect of Gervais inflicting his own special brand of football on another set of fans, but you might just wanna read this first...

Turn down anything less than 40m.

Gervinho beats any fullback to the ball, any number lol. If only his final ball was not so atrocious, His tunnel vision and decision making are comical.
I wonder if Wenger would sanction Gervinho’s move this summer. I get the idea he has lots of faith in him.

With this 10m transfer fund, we should be able to get Jovetic or Higuain, a much worthy player.

I thought that Wenger had already suggested that Gervinho would be staying next season at the club.
Furthermore the impression I got was that Marseille wanted Gervinho on loan ie are not prepared to buy him.
The hard facts are that Arsenal's registered squad at
end of last season was 24 and at least 3 are definitely
leaving in this transfer window namely Squillaci, Arshavin plus one goalkeeper. Diaby is also likely to
be unavailable until at least January.
That means that the club will be at least 5 short of number of players which need to be registered for Champions League.
Frankly I cannot see Wenger bringing in more than 5 new players in this transfer window.
