I've got an opinion about why Kinnear has been brought back to newcastle. Pardew was handed an 8 year contract in a totally rediculous move by the owners at newcastle, that 8 years has made him virtually unsackable due to the amount that he'd be entitled to. So what's the best way that Newcastle can get the manager out without having to pay him his contract up?
Make his position that untenable that he walks and in bringing in the totally inept Kinnear, who doesn't even know how to pronounce the players names. Has told everyone who'll listen, that he has the final word on transfers and that he'll travel with the team and have a training ground office.
One thing is for sure and that's the Geordies provide an unpresidented source of laughter!
This kinnear thing!

Although an answer that sounds reasonable at first it cant be becuase of this.
There is no way a club would offer such a contract if they had to pay up all remianing years to move a manager out.
This contract will have a clause so only a limited payment will have to be made. I cant see this being the reason for mad joe...
though that does make his appointment more strange and as i cant see Pardew walking it means we are in store for much more of what we saw yesterday..i cant wait!

Yeah I am sure I read somewhere that the 8 yr deal has a 1 year pay off clause if Pardew is sacked.
Something like that.

It's so if they buy any more French players you'll think they're not French when Joe pronounces their names

Kinnear has shown a level of delusion about his own ability not seen since Hodgson translated his experience at Neuchatal Xamax to the Liverpool job.
So next stop for Kinnear is the England job.

I remember the eyes nearly popping out of my head when I saw Pardew was getting an 8 year contract, considering they had probably had 10 managers in the previous 8 years at that time.
JK is a bit of an idiot really, but it's pretty difficult to come across as enlightened and cultured when the press are hovering over you like vultures, waiting for a mistake.

I heard exactly the same thing righteous. If so, and whisper this, it was quite a clever move by Newcastle. Tie Pardew to a long contract so they'd get compensation if he beggered off but only pay off one year if he screwed everything up.
Unfortunately for Newcastle it looks to be the latter!

I don't see why they would want to get rid of Pardew really. They flirted with relegation but they did have terrible injuries, especially at the back, a lot of new players and the Ba transfer hanging over their head for half the season.
If they start well and can keep Cabaye I'd expect them to have a decent season.
