If we were to plough the 15m we've gotten for Carroll into a time travel project aimed at preventing his 35m move from Newcastle to us ever happening, would there be any chance of success?
Even if the chances are slim, it would be worth a go in my book.

you can only travel forward in time it seems.... also building an Einstein rosen bridge would cost a lot more than 15mil.

Well, since the club could raise £15m regardless of Carroll's sale, the money used to build the time machine doesn't necessarily have to come from the transfer, therefore it can be done!
