i bet if wolves were in the prem their fans would be near the bottom. i have been going to football matches for 20+ years and have never encoutered anything like wolves fans!

Seriously? Man U fans are quite rightly despised by other fans cause they just can't help dragging 'trophies' in irrelevantly in a discussion.
That's on top of them being arrogant and generally clueless.
Not all of them are like this. But a large number of them are.

I wonder why Villa are so hated? They stand out among the lower-placed clubs as something of an anomaly.

Aston Villa. Joke of a club. Won the European Cup once and 30 years later they still can't quite believe it, so the continue to harp on about it. That's why they have done nothing since then. Trod along in mid/lower table still celebrating a trophy they won 30 years ago. Every once in a while they threaten to become good, but lose their nerve and sink back into obscurity.

So they have to resort to feeble attempts at reminding everyone they won a European trophy and their relevance.

i remember going to an everton-villa game and there was a young supporter who was giving some stick back to everton fans asking "where's your european cup". it isn't the older supporters i find annoying. it's the younger supporters. i mean this kid must have only been about 16

i remember some young liverpool fan coming out with the usual "5 times" and "where's your european cup" so when i prodded him to name the teams they beat and when they seemed to struggle apart from the istanbul...then when i asked "what year did bill shankly win his first european cup" he replied "1968" lol....

Speak to your average Wolf and they will tell you that not only did they 'invent' the European Cup but they invented history as well...
