Did GFH get Leeds United for free? When people say 'oh they've put no money in' haven't they already invested a sizeable sum in buying out the odious little toad Mr Bates? When people say 'I'm not spending until they spend' then haven't they already.....just because they're not billionaires throwing stupid sums around (which they actually cant now owing to the fair play rules' are we really not going to go to ER and try and get behind the team? Surely we're only harming the actual chances of them having any spare cash to buy x player. What happened to supporters being the heart and soul of the club we're like beggars hoping for a rich guy to pass by and give us a £20 note...

I'll answer question. I wouldn't need to have £8 billion to spend my money on Leeds Utd!
I would buy leeds even if it would almost cripple me if I could take them back to the prem!

So if you had the money you'd bank roll the club ??

Yes I would!

But that doesn't mean I want an arab to come in bank roll us as his little play thing

Some could take that has slightly racist.
Not me mind

Haha I suppose they could. It had nothing to do with race though.
If people wanted to take that as being racist I am not want to apologise though. People are offended way too easily these days

You want to watch good football, in fact TOP football, sat with 40,000 fans, singing for 90 mins.
We know the buzz (pre 2004) and for a few years we were spending stupid money, so why would anyone be against someone with a load of money coming in and buying top players and upgrading the stadium?
We want something worth while to buy into as fans, i would happily pay £700 for season ticket if we were doing well.
But the question some people ask is...would it rip the soul out of the club? Would it boll ocks.

Maybe I am naive and maybe I am dreaming of a time long gone, would I accept us being bank rolled now? Yes even though in some respects it'd kill me but at least I've got confidence in the manager, unlike the previous one....however I'm a great believer in businesses growing organically....taking each step than suddenly receiving a massive influx of cash and going t1ts up when the bottom falls out....I think we can all agree regardless of who we are we do not want to go through the Risdale era again....maybe the heart has just gone out of football I was whimsically wishing we were one of the clubs that could get there on the merits of its fanbase

LUFC if the guys you've just spent 5 years sitting next to suddenly couldnt afford it and were replaced by ever changing corporates or tourists you telling me youd not mind?

Shawn - admire the sentiment but with GFH at the helm it would appear that its going t1ts up without spending a penny.
This club is on the verge of going into meltdown in almost every part of its business.
GFH is borrowing money secured against shares in the club. That is deeply concerning.
We've just released a player on loan to be able to bring in a freebie with a questionable strike rate. That tells me we've had to trim our wage bill AFTER the out of contract players had already been released.
This when you consider we have one of the largest revenues in the league.
We've already got a loan secured against ticket sales for ground improvements that didn't need or can't fill.
We've owners that don't know how to run their own business let alone a football club.
A strategy for a sustainable future based on inward investment that they can't secure and no plan B.
Buy tickets they say. For what exactly? We are heading in the wrong direction and fast.
