Player Rathings

Heres my veiw on this most dull of days. Remember we haven't scored on the opening day since 2006.

Camp-6 Didnt Have much to do, but kept the ball too long and distribution was dreadful.
Gunter-6 Got Caught out a few times in defence, contributed well on the wing with the attack but didnt shine.
Chambers-7 PLayed Fairly well although was beaten in the air a few times.
Morgan-7 Same as Chambo.
Cohen- 7 Solid Game at left back contibuted a few nice balls going forward.
Boateng- 6 A few Crunching tackles and nice passes although made a few glaring errors passing to the oposition (Moussi the 2nd anyone?).
Greening-6 Helped with the defence and kept it simple nothing much else.
Reid- 6 Looked lively first half then peetered out in the second, shooting was off.
Anderson-8 My MOTM Contributed going forward and linked up well with gunter should have got an assist and his defending was solid.
McGugan-4 Cannot forgive that miss and set pieces were poor. Was even laughing wehn he fell over the second time. No real positives in the performance.
McGoldrick- 6 Did what he could, absolutely no service had to come deep gave the ball away a fair bit when it was pinged into him but i honestly think it was wrong for fans to get on his back.

Subs
Garner- 7 PLayed well drew fouls and looked threatening. Breath of fresh air at the end but not enough time to make a mark.
Majewski -7 Same as garner looked bright but no time to make his mark on the game.

The Referee-5 Waved away a few clear fouls for both teams on a few diferent occasions. Kept the game under control but maybe should have sent McEverly Off.

Steve Mclaren-5 1 STRIKER AT HOME?!?!?!?!. . In my opinion McGugan should not have started he has looked sluggish in pre season and Majewski has pkayed well.Also perhaps only play one holding midfielder when at home in future?? Other than that selected the team as expected.

Nottingham Forest-6 defending was questionable, build up play was fine but with no end product. Same old story really.

The Oposition-7 Game us a good game unfortunately. Nice one touch passing and times and played well on the counter attack, shame they didnt have anyone who could direct a free header or they would have won.
