Evening all,

Southend fan in peace. It seems that we have just signed Will Atkinson from you. Given he got a fair bit of 1st team action with you last season, I wondered why you are letting him go and what he's like. He's a bit of an unknown quantity to Southend fans.

After a disappointing start to his City career, when he was on loan, he developed into a consistent squad player.There is a good piece about him on The Width of a Post website.

he played pretty much most of the season & was sad to see him go...must have asked for too much or something as most of the players from this last season we seem to have kept!
