Interesting on the BBC website, Owen Coyle says he spoke to Steve Clarke about MAF and Steve Clarke said he didn't want to lose him, which begs the question why did we let him go - he's only 32. Makes you wonder who has the say in who gets a new contract at the Albion.

Good spot Aries. I thought MAF had done enough to warrent an extra year but, can't see anyone being guaranteed first team match play. As for 'Frank' Carson, I wonder if he's going there as No: 2. Not in the same league as BF IMO.

Fair play to Fortune. At the age of 32 he needs to play football. He will be a great signing for Wigan.
Carson maybe as well but I can't be convinced he will ever become a keepr in say Foster's bracket, until he commands his area properly.
