There you go guys. I may add to it as we hear more. But that will do for starters.
Match Report - Brighton v Rovers

I was a professional manager in industry so I know about risk.So how come after the first game of the season our whole future season has already been jeapordised because of injuries to two of our three only strikers? It isn't rocket science to evaluate risk.Given the high levels of injury experienced by our key players shouldn't we have sold Billy Sharp & bought "durable"players? We don't score enough goals & this is our main weakness. We need to aquire goalscorers & less injury prone players.A 3.5 million price tag for Sharp would have given us this opportunity. QED.

That's interesting Stanton although being fair to both players on this occasion, I don't think anyone would have played on after Dunk's tackle and Hayter's was just unlucky.
I think the plan was to sell Billy in the closed season. SOD's language said as much both at the end of last season and the beginning of this one.
If we had, a new striker would have been brought in for a similar process (development then sell on). I gather that's the strategy these days.
My understanding was Billy himself out the fly in the ointment by turning down Southampton.
I think Billy will probably leave in the January transfer window (if fit). I certainly can't see him starting next season with us.

Well that is interesting Fuzzy. So now Sharp is to leave? Why now, is he fed up of getting clobbered?

I see Rovers social networking media updates far more quickly than the main site. Sharp had his x-ray about 9.30 this morning, waiting for results at the moment

Fuzzy, I think you forget about the possibility of us winning the play off final then Billy goes up with us!

Love your optomism Alex but my comments were more made from a Rovers' strategy point of view.
I've read what Sean had to say before and after the closed season. On both occasions he was almost inviting bids. If Billy was to be sold for 3.4M, it would be good business as long as a good striker was brought into to replace him.
I've been reading around and our strategy is to buy cheap, develop and then sell. As far as I am concerned, there's nothing wrong with that. We don't raise enough revenue to play at this level any other way, so lets try this way.
