David Price vs Tony Thompson

Anyone got any idea when this fight starts? My analysis on the fight is Price will have to work behind his jab and be patient for openings as Thompson is a crafty old veteran with good counter punching ability. People forget in his first fight with Wladimir, he gave Wlad a lot of problems and was winning the fight in the first 6 rounds until Wlad adjusted and knocked him out. Price must not force the knockout if it comes, it comes. Price has a dodgy chin in my opinion, he was knocked out a few times in the amateurs and the first good punch he got hit with in the pro ranks he got knocked out. A win for either guy will not suprise me. My prediction David Price stops Tony Thompson in 6 rounds

Boente doesn't want it, he knows Vitali is way past his best and doesn't want Vitali to go out that way.

But that is the world of boxing today, if you are the champ you don't have to fight the best.

I don't know respected like I said it's a poor division I just don't think a guy who's had less the 20 fights should be ranked so high, but with what's below him there's not much competition, I was Hoping fury would fight Seth Mitchell but think he lost his last fight so don't think that will happen, could have been an interesting fight

Lol Fury would batter Mitchell, Seth has the worst chin in boxing. Cant take a punch at all. Fury has 21 fights and beat ranked fighters like Chisora, Cunningham and Johnson who have all fought for a world title or was world champion.

Fair enough just don't think he's done much to justify such a high ranking but it's a poor division so not the hadest to move up the ranking quickly.

Mitchell looked very good when he kod ibragimov and he's only lost once in twenty or so fights I'd lime to have seen it as it would have been a good way for fury to continue making a name for himself in the states but that loss has set Mitchell back and fury will now be looking up the rankings not down

It seems fighting 20 nobodies is how you get ranked these days, the organisations should really do more to force top 10 fighters to fight each other.

The Klits do get away with far too much in terms of holding and leaning on. When Haye caught Wlad in the 12th, the ref quite happily let Wlad hold on til his head cleared. Haye was poor that night and Booth got the tactics wrong but despite this Haye still did better than anyone has done against Wlad for yrs but yet Wlad completely rules out a rematch in an empty division???

He was healing up, he broke in 2/3 weeks prior to the fight.

It was the lack of sparring because of the toe which was the problem more than the movement in the fight.
-------------------------

That dosent really go with Hayes claim that he couldnt do anything in the fight cause he was in agony because of his toe.

Haye said he couldnt do anything because he couldnt land his punches because he could not put any weight on his foot...it was a lame excuse, he had been medically cleared to fight if it was that much of a problem he shouldnt have entered the ring, he did and at that point he lost all right to complain about it.

Potvekin will get blasted by Wlad, he as been avoiding him for about three years now because he knows he wont handle him.

Hayes record of ducking and complaining is pretty evident to be honest

Was supposed to fight Vitali - pulled out because he was injured, low and behold he fights Valuev soon after

Fights Wlad - crys about his injured toe and how it meant he couldnt box

Was supposed to fight Charr - pulls out because he is injured only to try and fight Fury.

Vitali looks old and past it - well guess who now wants to fight him...

Haye was a fantastic Cruiser Weight, however since he moved up he has fought, bums, pulled out of fights and done relatively little while all the time running his mouth

Haye stopped sparring 20 days before the fight, it is normally a week before the fight when you stop sparring.

I already stated the issues with canceling the fight.

Most fighters have some kind of knock, when going into a fight to varying degrees.

Valuev and Ruiz: World champions
Chisora: never been stopped before, troubled Vitali for 12 rounds and Haye was promised the Vitali fight he he won it. And it was what the public were calling for.

Audley : The stupid British public wanted that as well.
