Hmmmm

Starting to get a little worried about our lack of transfer activity. Lots of people saying teams aren't signing players but those who I think will be challenging are:

Leeds, Forest, Watford, Wigan and Reading have all made some good signings and QPR will be strong. I am not saying we aren't strong but we need to improve certain areas of the squad to challenge.

If we don't improve the Midfield and get Wes a proper partner for CH we are going to be inconsistant again. Somehow we need to get rid of Wellens, Gally etc to free up some more wages...

I think I must be the only one who is pleased we aren't seeing yet another season start with an influx of players who will take an eon to gel.

I've no doubt we will see a couple of additions in areas where we are a bit thin on the ground - Consistency has been missing from our club for too long now. Lets give it a try

as i said earlier we cant afford to sign anyone. But i go with Arrow every season and also last season we try to integrate 6-7 players into the first team.
I t take time to gel and this is the upside the downside and true blue aside we where sheet for 17 games winning only three with what we have got.

So kicking Sven is like saying how fantastic NP is neither are true

I don't want an influxe of players, just 2 or 3 will do - to increase competition and freshen the squad up a little and add some bite.

I almost sense it is a suck it and see kind of season as we have a number of over paid rubbish in the squad which we cannot shift. This time next season a lot of those players will be out of contract easing the burden of the clubs coffers.

But I don't want to wait another season - this is season number 35 for me - 1978 when I first went to a game as an 8 year old and I'm due some more good seasons surely, just by the law of averages!!

Something that hasn't been mentioned a lot is our category one youth academy products and whether any of them will be able to step up next season?

With FFP seemingly inhibiting us somewhat and the LCFC.com article with Matty James says 'there are quite a few young lads training with us from the reserves' (not sure how usual this is?) I think this may be where Pearson is going to plug these gaps.

E.g. Moore in defence, Hopper up front, Pantyiato (or however it's spelt) in midfield, Schupp carrying on as he did end last season.

Could this be the answer? Or particularly Pearsons answer? If so, who could make the step up? Even as a back up squad player?

I don't mind Pearson trying youth this year. I don't mind keeping broadly the same squad.

I just don't feel we will achieve promotion unless we freshen things up and strengthen in the middle an at the back.

I still believe Pearson knows this, and we will see 2-3 loans or signings before the start of the season.

It's just a shame we can't offload our players. The fact we can't surely is the most clear and blatant evidence that they are over paid.

I believe we may need a CB dependant on what the situation is with Moore and SSL. Will SSL still be here come 1st September? Is Moore good enough to provide the back up/ be starting alongside Wes? Leftback for me is the other position which needs looking at, back up/ a replacement for konchesky is required imo. Other than that, with maybe even a loanee or two we should be able to mount a playoff challenge at the least.

Mr Beckford appears to be dragging his heels over going to Bolton, no points for guessing why though......

What's wrong?

Aren't 'moneybags leicester' going to walk it again this season?

No, 'moneybags' Forest are. George Boyd will fire them to the prem

I guess some of us are worrying that it might be the 'Feb/April 2013' type of consistency....
