Shawn M, I appreciate that you, like all of us, want to see some big name signings - but don't hold your breath because it's pretty obvious that GFH don't have a lot of cash.
Maybe you should think about other ways of building a promotion challenge. Leicester have splashed the cash and got nowhere fast. Maybe BM is an exceptional scout - at least he has done that job in the past.
Why did he sign Hunt at 30? It might be because of what Hunt can bring to Thorpe Arch as well as to Elland Rd. He's got experience and is probably very good at helping the younger players develop like Smith and Poleon.
Maybe the flagship signing will be Murphy. I have a good feeling about him - he had a choice of clubs but elected to come to Leeds, and he's had a lot of rave reviews. Murphy's signing may be a real turning point.
If we can't be optimistic now, when can we be? Calling for GFH to spend big money is just pi**ing in the wind. Besides, I don't blame them - so many are overpaid, not worth the money and have too high an opinion of themselves - look at Morison.
BM wants hungry players. Hunt seems hungry.

Murphy I think will be decent but its hard to get excited by Noel Hunt who isn't prolific nor Matt Smith. Id like to see someone. Is Murphy better than Snodgrass or Howson? Why is Murphy still in league 1 if he's that special? Id like to see us bring in someone of Zaha's potential, someone as good as Snodgrass and Vydra, a real attacking gem. I can see a mile off that our two new strikers aint gonna cut it

So you only go to games Shaun depending on the signings we make...
We've just spent £1million for the first time in 7 years, the team, manager, board and most fans (apart from a few looking for every single negative possible) are being positive.
This league is always talked up way too much. It's mostly a whole load of very average teams - a good atmosphere and positive feeling around the club can go a long way. I think BM's management style is a perfect one to create that. No way were his Reading team the best in the league when they won it last year.
We were less than 10 points off the playoffs under Warnock's pretenders. I'm going to lay my cards and predict us top 6 for next May. Get yourself a ticket for the game and get behind the team.

People as good as Snodgrass are playing in the Premiership, Zaha has gone to s cu m, Vydra was a revelation, but on loan from decent a Serie A side....i dont know what you want us to do!
There is still a month to go, BM has said his main signing should be coming soon, wait and see....just on the football we played against Burnley at the back end of the season with Warnock's team is enough to get me more excited. A couple more decent players and we won't be far off atleast the playoffs

We're a bit like a share stock, running along the bottom showing no signs of improvement & now suddenly a peak upwards shows on the graph.
If the decent weather keeps up we could see a 30,000 crowd for our 1st home game.
The club & the manager are making encouraging noises, lets grab this positivity while it lasts.

I can't even buy a ticket until the 16th - so I'm holding off the excitement until then.
Got my ticket for the Stevenage game though

I'm encouraged but not motivated enough to buy a membership so I'm waiting until the 16th to get my ticket(s). Murphy was a huge step forward, Smith could be an astute piece of business but not overwhelmed by Hunt.
I'm expecting more players to leave and they will determine the ambition of the club just as much as the players coming in. There are a number that need moving out but I hope it's the like of Brown & Tonge rather than the quality end of the squad.
