he couldn't get away quick enough. Even went to a pishpoor side in England like Southampton.
Good business by Celtic though.

Southampton are a decent outfit, loaded with money, pay good football, have a passionate, good, solid support and are buying up some quality young players.
They'll be comfortable top 10 next season

We'll see how he handles a step up. Small teams tend to up their game against bigger sides and even Barnsley had a good cup run a few years back knocking out Liverpool and Chelsea.
This year will see if Victor Wanyama is really as good as people up North seem to make out or Southampton have overpaid. If he is a success he could move onto a top 4 team. If not, Southampton could still recoup some of the money they spent on him as he is still young but it would make people think twice about spending such amounts on future SPL players.

Aye like they thought twice about spending ridiculous sums on rank rotten English players like Henderson, Carroll, Shelvy, Downing, etc
English clubs will always pay through the teeth and overspend because they ate constantly flooded with TV money.
More money than sense
