Very simple, it seems, but dear Arsene has not been able to figure it out, and if he doesn't, I am certain he'll be gone at the end of this season. The world has changed around him.

A commanding central defender who is a leader, who commands respect, and who imposes fear.

A commanding central midfielder who is also a leader, and has both steel and skill (sorry Mr. Song, you are an honest plodder, but you are a plodder).

And a forward who when he gets the ball, makes people cautious, wary, even afraid. He drives at you. He wants to take you on or go right through you. The kind of player who when he gets the ball everyone sits up and takes notice. He does not dance around the box.

And Wenger needs to hang on to Fabregas or Nasri. It's looking increasingly possible he will have neither.
