Do you think KP will retire from international cricket after the back to back Ashes. There has been rumours that he will, so that he an concentrate on the IPL and the Big Bash.
He has been saying for sometime that he wants to play full seasons of the IPL.
What you think?

He will retire if we do the double again without doubt to join many other british sporting greats

hey may continue for another 3/4 years see if he can get to 10,000 runs. Would be good achievement.I hope KP carries on. Hes a class player.

I personally think he will. flintoff said in one of the interviews that he knows KP will retire afret the ashes in Australia. Although he very young, but I guess Kp's priorities is more or less earning more money and wont be suprised if he plays ipl here after

KP recently turned 33. I think he will play for England for another 2 years. Typically, England plays about 25 tests over 2 years. He may finish slightly short of 10K aggregate in tests. He does not come across as a fella who would give the utmost importance to records.
KP's batting is a joy to watch.

I have a feeling swann could go aswell? he has definately talked alot about how many games England play in a year, which is a lot, and he is already what 35. and tbh he is one injury away of saying thats it. All England players rate Ashes at the top and what better way to go, after winning double ashes?

Pieterson and Swanny going will be hard to replace them if it happens.
Just seen the latest test rankings and India have gone to 2nd. How has this happened. Did England lose points because the last test was so close....

I have been hearing this for a while and wouldn't be suprised if KP calls it a day after the back to back Ashes, I will be gutted when it does happen as he has been a player I have loved watching in a England Shirt, he has been a rock for England over the years.
As for Swanny yes I think he will retire from test Cricket after the Ashes are over, again another massive lost to England and will be sorry to see him go, but agree the amount games England play and he has said wants to spend more time with the family, so he is for the off
People coming through Root has been great to watch a, but was does worry me there is no batsman out there that is a KP so thats were we will see the diffrence KP is a class in his own and one of my all time great batsman in a England shirt to watch

Viru, I was wondering about Swann.
Strikes me as a family man and also had quite a few injuries. I reckon he will retire from 50 over cricket after the World Cup. I think he will have one more go at the T20 World Cup before retiring from that format.
His bread and butter is Test, I can see him going on until he is 37 ish.

KP will be a loss for England and test cricket itself if he decides to quit. If ECB were any smarter, they should try to keep KP in the team. Denying the man millions of dollars is not the best way to retain him.

Unless he pulls his finger out the selectors will make the decision for him.
It's hard to see how we would have been worse off with Compton opening and Root at 4 instead of KP, or Bell at 4 and Root at 5 perhaps.
Fundamentally 14, 64, 2 and 5 is not good enough for the best and most experienced batsmen in the team.
To compound the low scores, just as worrying are the manner of his dismissals. Several have looked pretty careless to me.
All the talent in the world is useless without application, and the willingness to apply himself to the task has appeared largely missing this summer.
Knowing KP he'll produce a double-hundred next innings to make me look a fool. I hope he does too!
