Gerrard is more important to us than Suarez.

It's not just his abilities as a player.

It's his status as a club legend, it's his influence and presence in the dressing room, it's the fact that other than nearly joining Chelsea he's remained loyal to us for over a decade, it's the fact that he's a scouser.

I'm in no place to judge if he's a scouser or not but he says he is, the club say he is and the fans say he is.

I class him as a Scouser,it's the Liverpool fans who claim anyone on the outskirts of Liverpool aren't classed as Scousers.
