Bet

I was talking to 2 Liverpool fans the other night who were both 100% confident that they were going to finish above us this coming season, so confident in fact that they decided to bet me £40 each that they would.

Of course I accepted as this seems like quite easy money. Their confidence in Liverpool surprised me though is there something I'm missing about them? Is this year actually their year? Had they drunk too many sambucas?

What's your take on who will finish above who?

I also had a little side bet with one of them for £10 that if Suarez stays, bale will score more goals next season too.

COYS!!

To be fair, 99% of LFC fans would take this bet with a fan of any club as they generally believe "this will be their year".

Look spurs fans

Your better than us currently ..... We know this ... We aren't all deluded ...but what's the point about being downbeat about the upcoming season

If i were the LFC fans involved in the bet, i'd have gone to the bookies instead as you'd easy get better than evens on that.

But i'm guessing that this is part of the problem, whereby the fans involved still believe they are favourites to finish above clubs like Spurs and haven't given it a thought that the bookies have moved with the times.

Liverpool fans are getting carried away again, like they do every year.

They had some decent results at the back end of last season, when the pressure was off against poor opposition with nothing to play for.

Liverpool`s season ended in March, I can see them treading water yet again.
