wasn't bad for a first trial run..no sound and kept crashing but no action replays

just going to be non 1st team games if they decide to roll it out, could do with a bit more oomph to stop the crashing though.

Guiseley 2 Town 2

another pre season game without a win..............flipping Guiseley...I mean to say..our lads are full time professionals, there's are just bricklayers and postmen...no difference in ball control, fitness or ability that you could see, maybe Town strung a few more passes together albeit mainly going nowhere with them, as is the norm in football nowadays.

maybe eventually teams will get so good at 'keep ball' the FA will have to bring in a time limit, bit like Rugby League has ...5 tackles and you hand the ball over...otherwise it will get as boring as watching Barcelona and Spain.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

From the looks of our team there were a lot of younger lads playing so against a league 2 team a draw would probably be acceptable.

But seriously we can’t even beat Guiseley with players potentially playing in our first team this year...

Stop moaning - It was still an improvement on last year when Guiseley beat us 1- 0, plus we also scored a couple.

The free stream was brilliant, even if it did have a few problems - it was the first time we've done it so I wouldn't expect perfection. Hopefully we can do this for more academy/development games in the future so more folk can see the players we have coming through the ranks.

As for the result or performance last nigh - as with all friendlies they mean sod all.

what they do mean is the team cant get UP for the matches..
im always nervous and very suspicious of league teams that cant score a few and then relax against non leaguers..
we seem to relax for virtually all the game...
it seems to suggest everyone knows who will be starting against forest and there is no point killing yourself either way...
winning games is a habit, one that we haven't had for a while...
if I was up against an amateur in my line of business I wouldn't dare show my face for a good long time if I "lost or drew" with them...
same as footballers the "beginners/amatuers" all raise their game to compete with you..You just put the extra effort in and let your experience do the rest..
friendlies don't mean a lot, beating anyone put in front of you, well, certainly does...

It's a friendly - players are more often than not told to not give 100% and not risk picking up an injury. Focus on formation, set pieces and team moves worked on in training. That is literally all they're good for - what's the point in hammering some minnows 5-0 only to pick up a load of injuries and not actually work on anything that will become useful once the season's underway?

Mirf !! stop moaning about me moaning....you're always moaning about it

Cas...not give 100% ? not sure about that...yeah the game was pretty much non contact, but closing down, supporting the player with the ball and running off the ball...didn't see much of that...looks just the same as Town last season...but ok its friendlies and don't mean anything...result not important, effort not important, skill not important...am wondering what the point is...might just as well stay at canalside training

...when I played for the Shoulder of Mutton (a team of many talents)..we didn't have a pre season tour of Spain, or half a dozen 'friendlies'...we just went in the pub and got hammered and sorted out who was playing where dependent on how many pints you could down..

worked ok for us !
