Fiore have confirmed a deal to sell Jovetic to City.

They'll have a decent strike force this coming season then! When are we going to catch up? Frustrating that they've made 4 good signings already and we have nothing concrete, just rumours and supposed bids.
Really hope we weren't after Jovetic as that will be another who had turned us down (if Thiago ever did). At least with Pellegrini, city have a manager who can attract players. Obviously we need to give Moyes a chance but is anyone concerned top players might turn us down due to him being inexperienced at the very top level?

Whether or not city have over spent is largely irrelevant. It's not like they have your average budget.
What matters is that they have 4 good players bought.
Far better out there than jovetic but the other 3 are unquestionably outstanding additions.
We need to secure some signings soon as the longer it takes the more time it will take for them to fit into the squad.
We risk gettig left behind at this rate

We haven't had a great pre-season so far

They had much stronger teams out there than United, 10 of our first XI are still in Manchester.

How are City going to line-up?
------------------Hart-----------------
Zab Kompany Nastasic Clichy
--------Toure Fernandinho-------
Navas----Silva-----Jovetic
------------Aguero-------------
Looks pretty good. What's more important is that they have Pelligrini.
If we get Modric/Fabregas, Fellaini and adequately replace Rooney we should at least be able to compete.

Lets not pretend these pre season run outs mean a great for any team.

Looks nice on paper but you've got 3 out of 6 (half) of the midfield/attack who are new to the country and the league, as well as a manager who is new to the league and country.
It should come as no surprise then that it appears our targets - if we allow ourselves to believe that some of the names we've been linked to are correct - all have previous PL experience. It was also mentioned that Moyes had reservations about Thiago adapting and fitting into the PL and our system, which, on reflection, may be entirely reasonable.
