Galatasaray's complete striker, who conjured up 8 goals in the CL this season, equalling Lionel Messi and only bettered by C Ronaldo and Lewandowski.

Now admittedly I don't know a lot about him and as far as I'm aware he isn't even linked to Arsenal. But from what I've gleaned he looks decent in the air, pretty clinical (given that he scores a lot despite playing for Galatasaray!), pacy, powerful and passionate. He has a bagful of experience and is playing at his peak as well, having just turned 28 this week. Also, he gives us a different name to talk about!
But if he were to be linked with us, would he be a good signing? He looks to be a better lone striker than some of the others we've been linked with over the past few weeks and would come at a fraction of the cost

Great record in Turkey.
Would represent a gamble (you could say that with any transfer). He'll cost a lot of money (Gala are pretty flush right now) and not in a position where they have to sell.
Turkish players (especially offensive players, for some reason) have very ' hit & miss' tendencies outside the sanctuary of the Süper Lig.
To be honest (imo), I'd be luke warm on the move, namely because he'd cost a lot of cash. Some clubs are in a position to gamble on players and throw the cash around (City & Chelsea), but if Arsenal are signing a centreforward for big money, it's got to be on someone you can be sure (as sure as you can be) is going to be a hit and be able to hit the ground running.

I'll be at the Emirates cup this year and looking forward to seeing him (and Eboue!).
Was hoping a cheeky bid in the £10-£15m region would be enough... maybe not from what you're saying tho!

why would he want to come here, more chance of silverware with Gala than us not everyone wants to play for 4th spot some players have ambitions of winning things.

He's nowhere near good enough for Arsenal. I watch him most weeks.
