July assesment

With only a few weeks to go thought it might be prudent to look at where we are and what we may need:

Looking at this we are seriously short in centre mid, not sure Barkley is strong enough to play there yet and Junior is a complete unknown but given we swa nothing of him last season and we brought in Hitzlsperger short term then I'm guessing he isn't very good.

Wtih Victor and Kone presumaly being involved in African CoN we'll be left short up front.

WIth a spend so far of about £7million on Kone and Roubles, there is a myth that the big tv deal kicks in now, the reward only comes at the end of the season depending on finishing position, share of terrestrial and foreign tv money. We actually received £51.7 million for last season's performance and that is the figure we should be trading to next season. £2.8million more than previous season. I have a feeling that Bill will borrow against this future income though rather than using it as cash next season and saving borrowing money and the costs involved.

WItht he above in mind I can't see how we'll spend more without selling and with that hanging over Heitinga, Jelavic, Fellaini and Baines I know which two I'd rather be selling. Hopefully some moeny will be spent on a central midfielder, I'll be gutted if Fer turns out to be a great signing for Norwich
