Was the bid not for James Collins? Isn't he a centre half or am I mixing him up with someone else?
As for relegation I guess it all depends on Thistle and how capable they are of staying up. I wouldn't be surprised if Hearts claw back the points deficit.

These are the points totals of the eleventh placed teams in the last three years:
2011- St Mirren 33pts
2012- Hibernian 33pts
2013- St Mirren 41pts
Thus, it's clear that not having Rangers in the league means there are more point to play for. So Hearts need to get at least 50pts this season to have a hope of surviving- I can't see it.
