Oh dear! Here we go!

This may just be a hesitant start to a fantastic season. I sincerely hope it is!

I wasn't there. Maybe we played a brilliant game and just couldn't finish them off - I have no idea. No doubt there will be plenty of views on the way we played. But what counts, is results. There are certain away games that have to be marked down as 'must wins' if we are to finish mid table and I challenge anyone to say this wasn't one of them.

I hope that Dougie, having decided on his first team, sticks with them for the Crawley game and doesn't use it to experiment and disrupt.

I have high hopes for this season. I believe I am entitled to those hopes after the last two seasons. Not for promotion but for a mid table finish and an end to the dramas of the last few games. I fully endorse Carpie's view in his blogs that the joy of supporting Palace is that it's never over until the last kick of the season. I know that from nearly 50 years supporting Palace. But, just for once, I want a break from that gut-wrenching, heart stopping rollercoaster ride. The next time I feel that way, I want it to be in a promotion fight! - not yet another relegation struggle.

We have two home league games coming up, after which we must be 6 points better off. Then I'll start believing.

Finally, where the **** is everyone. The day after the first match and no comments? I need something to read!!! So, shoot me down, if you want but say something!
