There have been a few comments recently as to how much our squad of players, going into the new season, is worth. Here's a few snippets from a fairly reliable website.
It has us with a squad of 30 which includes the fab 4 and a total value of 28m. The Fab 4 values are as follows:-
Jamie O'Hara 2.6m (we paid 3.3m)
Roger Johnson 1.8m (7.4m)
Stephen Ward 1.8m (8,800, I question that one)
Karl Henry 1.3m (154,000)
So take those 4 out and we are left with the 26 listed by Wolves and a value reduced to 20.5m.
Kevin Doyle is valued at 1.6m and Bakary Sako at 3.5. They are in the 26 listed and if they go we are down to a squad of 24 and a value of 15.4m.
There are 6 players in that final 24 who have not been valued as yet. Ebanks-Landell, Evans, Price, Ismail, Reckord and McAlinden. All untried at first team level and as the likes of Doherty is valued around 300,000, it's fair to value these at around 250,000. So that brings the value of our 24 man squad 16.9m. A far cry from the 29m+ that has been suggested.
Bristol City have the next highest value at 11m and Sheff Utd at 8.4m.
At present with both Doyle and Sako we have the 3rd largest squad. Sheff. Utd and Notts County with 29 and 27 have more.
So it's fair to say that we do have the highest valued squad in this league, but that's hardly surprising since we were in the Premiership not that long ago. Hennessey will be our highest valued player if and when the six mentioned leave at 2.2m.
For the record and for what it's worth

so highly regarded in both Ohio and Florida.
Don't think Cinci is in Ohio anymore. Moved to South Dakota or somewhere. About to change his user name to Sioux Falls at any moment!
Mind you, he'd spell it Sue Fawls.

Lawrence, KS
About 30 miles from Kansas City and home to the University of Kansas, where basketball began pretty much.
A small town in general but got ourselves a nice little 50,000 seat stadium for the college am.football

Should change your name from Cinci to Lawro then, as I've not heard of a Lawro anywhere else.
