Kaka and Ronaldinho

We are constantly bemoaning the lack of creativity in our side, the lack of that little bit of magic that links the forwards and midfield.

We also seemed likely to go 433, and we are 50/50 on CMs like Hudd and Parker staying on.

Lets say for example we moved both out, plus Livermore, and Paulinho played a more traditional CM role, freeing up an attacking midfield role....

What would your thoughts be if we signed Kaka or Ronaldinho? Perhaps on a year deal or loan.

On the face of it with a logical head on I'd say no. Is the hunger there? After playing at the top level for so long, will there be the appetite for a new challenge in England?

On the other hand, could you imagine the buzz about the place? Without a doubt two of the biggest stars of their generation. True magicians with the ball and the type of player we have always cherished and coveted.

We have two Brazilian midfielders on our books now too - maybe it would help them get that desire with a home WC a year away. I think either signing would be a very exciting day, one that would electrify the place, even if it was for a year.

Either would be more likely to play wide left imo, especially dinho

I don`t think Spurs have room at the moment for geriatrics and poseurs on £150 grand a week.

Ronaldinho plays centrally now because he hasn't got the pace to play like he used to so he just roams behind the striker. Wouldn't take either of them now, it's hard to believe it was 10 years ago this week that barca signed ronaldinho, what a player

He wouldn't be able to play in midfield in a 433, so the only option would be left wing

True but he'd never track back and defend, ever. The skill and the vision will be the last to go but he won't have the pace to dribble anymore, plus I reckon he's put on about 6 or 7kgs since his barca days. 5'11 and weighs 80kg compared to bale who's about 6'1 and 75kg

Why the bale comparison? Bale would be right wing? Rather him not track back as a left wing than cm

Wasn't comparing them positionally just athletically. Bale was the first spurs player I could think of who's a similar height and not a CB. As much as I idolise ronaldinho he's a bit heavy for a footballer who isn't really muscular like ronaldo in his prime or Cristiano now.

I'm not saying we should buy him, I'm saying if we were to he would likely play on the wing

Would much rather blood holtby or siggy in the role. Also spurs fans kept banging on about pushing Dembele on last season - so here is the perfect opportunity to do so

In the hypothetical, I'd put him in the position behind the striker in a 4411. Put two disciplined CMs behind him, two of Sandro, Dembele, Holtby, Paulinho, and two wingers either side on their correct sides. Let him have free run to do his magic
