Clichy

Here is a quote from Clichy upon signing for Man City: No am not sure but I seriously think Wenger has done a Fergie with City... i.e Silverstre from utd on a free to Arsenal....

“For certain players it can even take years because you need time to adapt to your new life, new team-mates, new systems.

“If I am honest from the first day I could see everyone was ready for the season. They all want to achieve great things here.

Clichy will get the chance to win his first piece of silverware as a Blue in Sunday’s Community Shield. He’s got form for beating United on showpiece occasions but that’s the only run he hopes continues from his days at Arsenal.

“I have felt great after the run outs that I have had so far and I hope it goes on like this," added Clichy. “I have a great feeling about being here and I really enjoy playing with all my new team-mates. It is going to be difficult but you can feel, day after day, that people are getting fitter and even more prepared for the first game against United.

“I am sure we will do great things and that is why I signed for City. I believe we will have a lot of success."

i stil see city winning a trophy before arsenal win one if they get rid of mancini which they probably will do..

while im here. mancini is one rubbish manager. lets be fair here. he's the only thing stopping city from winning the league. the talent they have now, they should steamroll nearly every team in the league but i can see mancini playing two defensive midfielders (barry, de jong) every game and play for draws a la rafa benitez.

And play Milner and put Johnson on the bench. As far as negativity goes, Mancini tops it.

Gael Clichy. Gael Clichy!? They'd have been better off signing Gail Platt.

Anyone who is pretentious enough to pretty much absolve himself of blame for Arsenal's failures deserves nothing.

Good description of Wenger.

Mr. Chelsea: I see you know about football. Its that what I am thinking too. City will truely win something and compete with Chelsea and surely United for the Premier League title.

He really is doing the bare minimum with the squad he has.

Mancini is just playing it way too safe and he's going to need to take risks if he wants the rewards. The 3-defensive midfielder formation can only take you so far, and it's time for him to try something new.

I don't know how you City fans even put up with him. Taking Balotelli off for Barry at 2-2 is just disgraceful when you've got a £35mil striker on the bench who hasn't played a minute...

Good try though.

On topic, I thought it was fun that Clichy's first touch was a terrible attempt at a cross, and his team collapsed and gave the game away in the last minute. Maybe he took the disease with him!
