If people arent already thinking it, theres gotta be a little voice in your head thinking we're gonna have one of the best midfields in the championship, on paper at least .
------------Geddy/gillet---------------/---------Geddy/gillet--Lans---------
pat/mackie---------abdoun/reid--/--pat/mackie---reid/raddi---Abdoun
-------------- lans/raddi--------------/--------------------------------------
I cant see any mediocre champ striker not scoring atleast 10 with that kind of service. Especially considering we have cox, mackie, paterson, and raddi, who would fit a support/man-in-the-hole role. Someone like sharp/austin would thrive, heck, even cox would do well.
Wilson, or a tricky CB and were sorted defensively.
Then we can flog off players like moussi, miller, tudgay, collins, maybe derbyshire, mclaughlin (cant see him getting a sniff) and harding (if we feel we have enough cover in lich, jara, and cohen), etc. recoop some money, and roll on
COYR!
Midfield sorted

taraabt will leave im sure, and barton is awful, never rated him, big mouth, little to offer on the pitch. Imagine hughes and guideiora playing on the same team
Never heard of your european winger but cant be better that certain niggly piece of sh*te that seems to score past you every time we play you<wink>

Midfield Sorted ? I don't really think so. Plenty of talent there I agree, but where's the ball winner? Gillett is probably the nearest to a ball winner; he started last season well, but once opponents sussed him and pressed when he was in possession we started to falter.
Leadbitter or possibly Holt could do it. If we can sign one of them then we're in business.
I think the manager wants to play 4-3-3. Mackie - Henderson - Paterson (or Abdoun) up front. Guedioura - ballwinner - Lansbury in a narrow midfield, allowing Jara and Cohen to take advantage of the space in front of them. 4-4-2 will be plan B

Billy still wants a proper defensive midfielder. Or a Paul Mckenna mark 2. But I agree we're looking good.
According to that Jim bloke on twitter still three decent signings to come. Could be the best Forest squad for a long time

Rev...we need a bigger squad nowadays. With Internationals in the side we could end up with a lot of tired players.
Is there an African Nations Cup in January? If so, we'll lose the 2 Algerians for starters.
Even so, the squad is looking healthy

I agree with 50yrs, that midfield is great going forward, brittle defensively.
CM: Guedioura, Majewski, Lansbury, Cohen, Moussi, Gillet and Greening. The last three will barely play and they are the better ball winners. I'd love us to get a really good DM and not have Guedioura play there as that stifles what he's best at.
Sell Miller to Boro in a swap for Leadbitter, that'd be perfect.
There's no African Nations until 2015.

Monkey - I think it would be ridiculous to sell Derbyshire now when he's just showing something like form. Give the guy a chance. There's no way we're selling Tudders (unfortunately) - and why won't Mclaughlin get a look in? We've signed wingers yes, but you need more than just your first team over a season.

I don't think anyone wants McLoughlin not to be good enough to play but on first look he seems to be behind (lets say less experienced than) Abdoun, Paterson, Reid and now Mackie who'll probably play out wide. He may be better off going on loan.
I hope he's good enough to compete with those though obviously

I don't think he'll behind Reid. Let's face it, Reid's not a winger. I'd like to see Mclaughlin getting games from the bench personally - wingers tend to tire more quickly than anyone else on the pitch and they are also the best potential gamechangers when coming on the 70th minute or so. Hope he gets a chance.
