If we get Rooney, which is looking unlikely I wouldn't drop Oscar for him no way the only position open in the starting 11 is upfront and maybe take Lukaku's place

I know theres no real holding midfielder in there but Van Ginkel and Lampard can take it in turns to stsy back, van Ginkel has been practicing a more defensive role at times this preseason, possibly in preparation for this. I just do not rate Essien or Mikel
As for Torres hes not much good but I think towards the mid season he suffered from fixture congestion due to being our only striker.

Nothing to discuss...you lost credibility by putting Torres in the team.

You would have Torres over Lukaku, seems abit silly I would consider playing Torres until Lukaku has played until December and scored no goals.

Luiz in DM is a great option as we have soo many top CB's and his passing in the middle of the park is soo useful. His best performances last year were in DM.

Pep Guardiola has done the same thing with Lahm playing in DM and he is soo much more useful.

Pep has only experimented with Lahm in midfield, will go back to RB when the season commences. Silly to think otherwise.

Luiz is a ball playing CB and I'm glad that's where Jose deems his best position.

Disagree, his best performances in a Chelsea shirt have been as a CB, and he IS our best CB.
