It seems that we are not the only club fending off bids from the giant Spanish clubs. Have Barca woken up a sleeping giant in their pursuit of Silva?

Should we make a counter bid for Ronaldo?
Spurs are not alone

Are PSG a sleeping giant?

difference is though barcelona could have triggered his release clause and silva would have loved to sign for them
messi simply wouldn't entertain a move to psg or elswhere no matter if his clause was met
release clauses are only of use if the player actually wants o sign for the team that is bidding

Tbf even if they trigger the release, Messi himself still has to agree to it doesn't he?
IIRC a Russian club did the same thing last year?

psg are not a sleeping giant at all no but now they hae the money to become one of the big few european teams
they were formed in 1970(43 years ago) and they have won the league 3 times(last season, once in the 90's and once in the 80's).they won the cup winners cup in 1996 aswell

250m offer just to talk to him.
But imagine you got to talk, said the CL results shows the decline may be happening in Spain. Churn in manager for whatever reasons. And we'll pay you a truckload more than you currently get.

-----------------
apparently his release clause is €1billion... mind you if reports keep escalating like they have we might be able to pay it for what we get for Bale

I honestly think we should really take the p USA out of Real Madrid and make them look like right mugs. Tell them Bale is all yours for 20 million plus Ronaldo. We all know this will never be accepted and it will p. iss Madrid right off in the process. In the end they will give up on Bale and go for their 2nd target Suarez.

PSG told them to stop tapping up thiago silva or they'd bid the buyout clause for messi. Even if they did I'd doubt that messi would even talk to them. Barca went the extra mile to get him and pay for his treatments when he was younger and they still look after him now (pinto is apparently one of his best friends at the club hence why he's still there) so he's basically eternally grateful to barca
