Louis Thomlinson from one direction signs for drfc !! My god this must be the best signing of the year!! We are looking at top 3 now !!! Great PR stunt, hope it doesn't cloud any of the trouble behind closed doors !! Great timing DRFC!! Least it's for charity

I think people are making a big deal over nothing. Yeah I'm as concerned as everyone else about the strength of the squad going into the start of the season but people are overreacting about the Louis Tomlinson saga in my opinion. He's playing one match of which the money we receive will go towards charity. We aren't paying anything for him and the club can expect to receive extra revenue in shirts etc, as well as the profile of the club being raised. Yes it's a little embarrassing but not worth getting stressed about. If we earn a few quid from it then I don't see the harm it it.

It's the best signing we will ever make this season. Great PR and probably some revenue too for the charity he is sponsoring. I heard he can keep goal, is left footed and can do long throws too!

Embarrassing.... A bit.
PR Stunt....... Most definitely.
Good for the club..... Put it this way, their last video on You Tube had over 50 million people watch it, so just think of the extra shirts we could sell
Only trouble is, dont think they've got our new strip in yet

The main thing from this is that Bluebell Wood Hospice will gain substantially.
Now what is there in that that is a laughing stock.
For me this a a great PR stunt by the Rovers and by Louis.

I have no problem with Bluebell Wood Hospice, firstly Politics - Doncaster Council did not want it within the Township as we had the Hospice and that word "Cancer" became ugly, at this point I have got the teeshirt......... But I would rather see 10,000 surviving people with Cancer and getting the care and treatment that they deserve, they did nothing wrong to get this terrible disease.. Now then "How many prisons have we in the borough" not only for criminals who get what they deserve but also illegal immigrants and alien (no spacemen) too, but this is acceptable. SHAME ON DMBC YET AGAIN WHO FAIL CHILDREN REPEATEDLY .
Bluebell Wood Hospice I support and raise money for so no problem there - 1D????? well dare not say anything.. Yes a good PR and that is what it is BUT just at the wrong time for me, I suppose that my little girl will end up with a Rovers shirt with the name and number 28 on it.
IMO but who cares. Just wrong timing, if we are to be a family friendly club then the mentality of a lot of people on this site..ME INCLUDED AND PROBABLY SHOULD TAKE MY OWN ADVICE STRONGLY, then let us be just that, if investment comes in then it does and if it is wrong for the club it does not....But to announce on the day of the long awaited meeting with fans that the deal had stalled because it was not good for the club, and certain people involved were "NOT so squeaky Clean, well I can say without contraception (yes) there are a lot of not nice people in this world and lots of money is dirty money.. But I will be there Saturday, hope the little one does not find out about number 28 just yet, I am skint ha ha (not a joke though)

Ionly that's a fair comment, there is pluses and minuses, although there will be a high percentage of fans that don't involve themselves in the running side of the club but just like to go down and watch football have a pie, pint, a sing and at half time talk about one direction !! Over the years especially being on this site and the one previous you do find you get drawn in on the goings on behind the scenes, which does get frustrating sometimes, but like others say on here it's time to let the football do the talking and see where we go from here! Being a rovers fan has never been easy but I feel confident we will shine through eventually!! RTID
