Reliable Transfer Update

Liverpool have submitted a bid of €25 million for Atletico Madrid's Brazilian striker Diego Costa according to reports in Spain.

Intereconomia claims that the Reds have triggered the player's release clause with a €25m bid and are waiting Atletico's response.

Coach Diego Simeone earlier admitted that he would not stand in the Brazilian's way should an offer come in.

The publication claims that the club are considering the offer and says that movement could be made soon. Atletico are thought to be looking for extra reinforcements in midfield and are prepared to let Costa go as they have already brought in David Villa and Leo Baptistão.

Liverpool are looking to sign reinforcements to their first XI as the future of Luis Suarez hangs in the air. However, the Reds have turned down all offers so far for the Uruguayan and have steadfastly refused to let him go for less than £50m.

Osvaldo a starter for Roma, got into the Italy starting team because of good performances and consistent goalscoring last season and cheaper and a much better player.

Osvaldo for me. Watched both Juve games against Roma and he created a lot of problems against a 5 man defence and against 3 CB's of Chiellini, Barzagli and Bonucci and was dangerous for the majority of the games. That was easily the best defence in the league and did very well throughout I heard. Be a good fit and > Costa.

With CF's like Balotelli, Di Natalie etc along the line there? That is pretty good.

Wow it seems like this is actually true, that we have matched his release clause.

I loved watching this guy play in La Liga last season, didn't think we would have a chance in hell of signing him.

terminator, If consider a 2nd/3rd choice Athletico Madrid Striker a Top Bracket player, then you need to raise your ambitions a little bit. Players like Osvaldo, Soldado etc are these Top Bracket players.
