All up front... was quite unusual. Which means they would want a big whack of it upfront I am pretty sure...

Not that money would be the problem with this deal IMO, the figures are affordable for United.

yeh see I would say the deal would be more realistic if for example they still owed you money for him.

Its a different story from shelling out £50m and £80m for one player.

TBH I think all this club X owe us money so we aren't actually spending that much is fans justifying excessive fee's to themselves.

Unless the club is actually at serious risk of going bankrupt then the only difference between them owing you money and having that money in the bank is the interest you earn...

Madrid would be fools to replace Ronnie with Bale.

I'm a huge fan of both as footballers, but Ronnie is another level.
