Mostly Idiots

I have read one or two of the previous threads this morning and there seems to a recurring theme, CLARKE OUT now how does one take notice of such opinion when they cant even spell a 5 letter surname correctly, I wonder how many of the CLARKE OUT brigade can actually do simple mathematics and thus understand football, basically if you cant spell Clark your opinion is worthless, now TTC and 38, I know you can do simple maths because one if not both of you continued to point out that 5 wins and 5 defeats was better points wise than 2 wins and 8 draws, so this thread is not aimed at either of you, It was merely an observation at the many people who cant spell Clark.

Personally I think Dean has a target in mind at each stage of the season with the ultimate goal being automatic promotion (1.8pts a match possibly)and should we fail to be on target say after 10 games, I think privately LC will be given a period of time to make it up or suffer the consequences that many of you want!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can remember being disappointed when Tempest chose to leave and further ? his career with the Gills, I thought he was ok but obviously it was just my age at the time.
I also recall my old man and his mates thinking Austin was gonna be great when he signed, Was he a record signing ?
I can also remember being really excited about us signing Terry Curran, But alas,
Keith Edwards wasnt too bad though, Or is that another rose tinted teenage memory ?

Brycey

These were all good players that were signed on and, as you say, excited us but ended up being massive disappointments.

Phil Starbuck
and more recently the White Pele, Paul ???? Smith from Sunderland

Martin Smith you mean Cryer?

Bought in as a replacement for Marcus Stewart, but the fans were never gonna take to him. Jumped ship when the club hit bad times, but still got his money owed!

Paul Smith is that nice aftershave Mrs C buys for you

Bryce,Tempest actually left Town to play in Belgium,he only went on loan to Gillingham.

Keith Edwards was signed 5 years too late although he did bang in a decent hat trick against Bolton once.

Martin Smith was a decent player just injury prone bit like Cadamarteri,he came form Sheffield United and not Sunderland but he had played for them.

Martin Smith was a cult hero at Sunderland.

There was a massive 'to-do' when he was sold.

we lost a cult hero and brought in a sick note.. remember smith pretending to flick a leg at the goalie after he had picked the ball up..all smiles between the 2, he then went off for 4 months with a torn hamstring..
wow, have we wasted some cash over the years..football makes the bankers look thrifty...
