Don't understand why so many are dead set against him. If we get him for a mill or less it will be great business. 5 years of EPL experience scoring 40 goals for 2 garbage teams while he was there. Double digit international goals. He has a wealth of experience playing against top class defenders. Last was bad, but Wolves changed their manager every month. The team was woeful.
We all saw what Jelavic can do in our league, he only managed 8 goals last year playing for a much better EPL team than Doyle ever did. Doyle managed more goals than that 3 out of his 5 years.
We are probably not even after him, but I don't think he would be a horrid buy.

We need a striker in if we get by elfsborg for the next round. I fear they are going to wait, see and pray that we reach the CL with what we have got then spend those last couple of day's.

Who knows but i'll give him a chance as i haven't seen him.
I have however watched Doyle for years and wondered how he is a footballer.
He's not what we should be looking for mate, you must see that?
We've made £18 million in two player sales, what's wrong with going to spend £4 million on a proven striker who will score at a high level?
If Doyle is our last signing (if it happens) then i will be raging and i've not even got a season book this year...

And if we do spend 4 million, the wages that automatically accompany that would probably make this new striker our highest paid player.
