Loved the guy, was the original hero for alot of gooners and also mine before the likes of Henry and Bergkamp arrived. Even agreed and respected alot of his comments, that was until I woke up this morning and read the rubbish he's just come out with. I had to look twice at his name to believe it was him.
This guy has come out time and time again saying that we need a few top top additions, which we all know but it's great that our legends our also voicing it. And now one of our legends and a fan as he always states is saying that Suarez should stay at l'pool but we should bid for him lol. What is he smoking!.
Ian Wright on Suarez lol

Does the 4th greatest Arsenal player of all time not deserve legendary status?

Henry, Bergkamp, Adams, Bastin, O'Leary and Brady are all bigger for Arsenal than Ian Wright.

As Jenius said, Wright has had and issue with Arsenal ever since they declined to buy his adopted son SWP some 7-8 years back. It was proven to be the correct decision though because the guy failed wherever he went (Chelsea, Man City, QPR and a few other clubs I can't remember). Very average player. But would Wrighty now about it? Clearly, he has a grudge against Arsenal and unlike most other former players, he refers to them not as 'we' but as 'they'.

Wrighty has a point. With Wenger in charge this club is going no further Arsene has demonstrated his true ambition already this summer by doing zilch, might aswell stay at a team closer to our level that will strive to get to the top than a team content with staying at the same level.
if you're already established and want to succeed then Wenger is NOT the manager for you ask a career peaked Cesc, RVP & Nasri if they agree... Only youngsters should look forward to working with the man!

"unlike most other former players, he refers to them not as 'we' but as 'they'"
And people still refer to him as a legend.

Just reading a few posts since my comment re Wright.
1) I can't abide the guy as a pundit. Terrible.
2) He is Arsenal through and through.
3) Whether his comments (re Suarez) are valid or not (IMO not) he was a fantastic servant to AFC.
Finally in regard to his reference to AFC (them and we) it is not unusual for ex players to refer to their club in such a fashion.
Recent examples (on SSN's) off the top of my head include Dixon, Winterburn, Adams, Gary Neville, Carragher, and Roy Keane on ITV.
I would suggest all of the above are considered legends at their respective clubs?

Stuart
We just have to agree to disagree here. No way someone I despise so much can be a legend at my club. Ever heard Henry speak about Arsenal. Now that's someone whos Arsenal through and through and a legend.
