I imagine they just get first refusal, but obviously Cesc wouldn't want to return to the 4th place celebraters, so the clause is pointless.

Either Cesc wants to go back to Arsenal or he wants to join United if he leaves Barca.

Why would he choose a team that won't challenge for the title?

Is he mental? Maybe if he was 33/34 he'd go back to Arsenal like Henry but he's at his peak and his mate RVP wants him at the club.
