At last the end of the stupid loan system

Never agreed with it or the arguement clubs can not survive without it. Just means they need to be more clever with squads and bringing youth through. May mean players have to be more realistic with wage demands.

JA - the article isn't about the end of the 'loan system', it's about FIFA wanting an end to 'emergency loans' outside of the transfer window.

I'm not sure that's going to make a big difference at all, simply means a manager has a few weeks less in which he can loan players. It's akin to reducing the length of the transfer window.

Emergency loans could be life or death to clubs in the lower leagues, when they spend what they haven't got and their star buy ends up injured, then they need a little help or play on a player less or an injured player!..

A team ends up with a lot of injured players, how many have to be out before they can say we cant play?..

Did we not bring someone in in league one?..

Not sure but I think we did!..

Tedd, I was referring to the emergency loan system. I don't mind a club having a player on loan for a year as it's the same as giving a player a one year deal.

Germany, we used the loan system too much under Grayson. It was rediculous sitting next to people who didn't even know our own players because they had arrived the day before on loan. As BM as stated he would take a loanee if it was on view to make permanent, but to loan someone for a few weeks is a joke. Plus if a team has injuries then it creates opportunity for youth. This life and death arguement is what the league have been using for years. All does is inflate player wages and mean clubs just go an borrow a player whenever they like.

What counts as an emergency anyway?

JA, I know what you mean, and I don't agree with it either, but, like I said, the lower teams need it to help them out!..

Nothing stopping the league letting the lower leagues use it as cover for long turm injurys, and stopping it being used just for improving teams!..

Some of those teams stuggle to bring youngsters in!..
