Tommy Spurr

It is reported that Spurr did not want to leave, but the club could not sort out his contract even though they had all summer to do so. This could have been that he thought he was worth more than what was on the table, or nothing was on the table.

This should have been sorted last year, one way or the other. Reminds you to much of Shackles departure to Barnsley.

Also its not fair on the manager, he brought them in early though with the late arrivals we looked unsure of each other in certain departments. They need time to gell still.

Just wish those in charge would cut the cloth to suit, and then take any thing else as a bonus.

Although we lost there were some signs of good football (untill Bennett arrived) probably more than we played at home all last season.

Keeper did ok for his first game if you disregard the rush of blood to his head in time added on.

Looks like poor Bennet is going to be the modern day Lewis Guy.

Bennet has a lot of talent, but as my wife says "he needs to man up" he is a lightweight

lets get one thing straight about bennett ,hes bloody useless,i said it all last season and ill carry on saying it,he ll never make div 2 player never mind champ. The lad cant read the game, hes got ten yards of pace and thats his game,i have a four year old granddaughter with more strength, when he came on yesterday i turnd to my missus and said thats it now thers no way were going to win this. Now i know husband is a yong lad he has a lot to learn but he will never make full back, his best pos for the future is left mid,the lad has got the lot, pace vision, passing, and a bloody good shot.so as soon as we have sorted the left back pos, thats where dickov should have husband concentrate his future because left back he will never be.as for the investment farce, have our board got a secret agenda as to make us a bloody laughing stock?its know secret that ryan was behind the mckay bebacle and there was no way he was being allowed to do what he wanted again,so iwas cheering from the rooftops when he was shot down.the days of him calling the shot are over,at last the board are putting the club first and not bloody Ryans ego
